A worthy rant indeed, my friend. Spam is everywhere and costs us unbelievable time and money. Most companies hire software services to identify spam links and domains but it’s a little different for Medium and other account-based platform s where their text filters have to use key words and phrases and update it constantly. There’s always a balance between blocking legitimate engagement vs spam. Easy for humans but not so much for filters. AI will probably help but we’re not there yet. Example: people use th word corn to represent p*rn. Also it’s hard for a filter to evaluate text in an image. That’s why humans like you are so important to filtering spam. (I’m assuming you’re human) :)
