Great story Rodrigo. I can relate better than most perhaps because a friend and I did much the same - hitchhiking I-5 from San Francisco to Seattle back in the mid-70s. Your memory is better than mine though, I can't remember the drivers so well other than the two cute girls who picked us up one day...
