I'm guessing that most of us are terrified of spinning down in the last few days or months. Like the dread of walking down the hall to the principal's office, expecting that those few moments at the end are probably going to be painful. It's that part - the anticipation - that bothers me more than the actual dying part. But then I'm not dead so not really an expert on the matter.
