I know there will be plenty of places that will welcome your help. You may even find a new calling. I was initially reluctant to get into volunteering, thinking that the other people would be strangers I had nothing in common with. It turned out to be completely wrong - and I have several new friends because of it. Just last night the entire group of 50 volunteers got together for a pot luck and we talked and laughed late into the night. It's a perfect solution for retirement boredom or loneliness.
